Kirov Region Government and OOO Uralkhim Management Company including Kirovo-Chepetsk Chemical Plant, have elaborated a joint project for exploration for phosphorite in Verkhnelamsky field in the village of Rudnichny. The project foresees that by 2010, 4.5 bn rubles are to be invested into it, REGNUM is informed at the press office of the regional government.
As they state at the press office, implementation of the project was also mentioned in the Strategy for Social and Economic Development of Kirov Region up to 2020. They also underscore that Uralkhim is the leading tax-payer in the region. For the first half of 2008, the company paid more than 1.2 bn rubles to budgets of all levels of governance (it was 598 mn rubles for the whole 2007). In the first half of 2008, the company paid in taxes 8% of the regional budget.
According to the press office, in volume of industrial production, the share of Uralkhim is 13% of total volume of production in the region. At the present moment, Kirovo-Chepetsk Chemical Plant is the biggest industrial company in the region both in terms of the number of work places and in amounts of product sold.
