Temporary administrative cabin settlements are planned to be constructed in south-eastern Moscow for foreign and non-resident workers, engaged in Moscow communal services. As a REGNUM correspondent is informed at the press office of South-Eastern Administrative District prefecture of Moscow, Vladimir Zotov, the prefect of district, announced that four addresses for construction are prepared by the district administration for this settlements in Lefortovo, Maryino and Vykhino districts.
The prefect believes that problems related to arrival, legalization and labor activity of migrants from the CIS countries and far-abroad countries today are especially vital for the city and its authorities. In particular, Moscow authorities are considering the question about construction of settlements for migrants on the basis of private and state partnership. Taking into account that most enterprises do not have residential places from a special fund to accommodate the foreign workers, it looks possible to accommodate them in temporal administrative cabin settlements, believes the prefect of the district.
According to information of the prefecture, by 2009, the communal services of Moscow will need 8,320 foreign workers. The prefecture of the South-Eastern Administrative District supported an idea about the necessity of establishing small settlements, and territories for their allocation are already offered. In case these addresses are approved by the government of Moscow, the construction of settlements for foreign and non-resident workers can start as early as next autumn, they stressed in the press-service of the district prefecture.
