Canada and Kazakhstan have signed a protocol about completion of the bilateral negotiations on Kazakhstan’s entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO).
As Zhanar Aytzhanova, the deputy industry and trade minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Kazakhstan’s special representative at the negotiations to joint the WTO, told reporters, the negotiations came to the end on mutually beneficial conditions. The Republic of Kazakhstan made a compromise by reducing customs tariffs for such imported goods like aircraft, whiskey, tobacco, but, at the same time, it managed to defend the interests of Kazakh agriculture companies. Zhanar Aytzhanova informed that Kazakhstan needed to complete the bilateral negotiations with Australia, India, Mongolia, the USA and the EU
