Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has explained why he decided the Edinaya Rossiya (United Russia) party election list. He said there was ‘no better’ party in Russia. While many things are still to be improved in ER, ‘what is already done is important, and we managed to do many things because I leaned on the support from Edinaya Rossia in the parliament” – said the country’s leader.
Mr Putin once again gave no direct answer to the question what he was going to do after his second term as President expires. ‘If the people vote for Edinaya Rossia, this will mean that they trust me’ – he said. Such vote would give Putin an opportunity to control the implementation of political ‘decisions that are made today’. He said he would not yet reveal what form could such control take.
